Nike paired up with W+K Portland for this cute and implausible ad. It is really a mini epic commercial running at over two minutes. A couple with the woman in LA and the guy in NYC start singing run for the most epic of long distant runs. The cuteness sets in when the guy starts having problems and is hospitalized before getting out of NYC. The bubbly woman runs the length the country to his hospital room, then we get the flash of her Nike Free Run Shoes.
So first thoughts on this commercial were that it was cute and funny. I will give props to W+K Portland for this one. Suspend our disbelief for a moment and think OK Nike shoes can help me run across the country. On this eve of the Boston marathon I want to get out there and run in my Nike's. Only I don't wear Nikes and haven't done so since High School track. So I will not be starting my athletic resurrection in a pair of Nikes.
